The Two-Gun Texican was once a Texas ranger working on the Mexican border in the 1930's. Hot on the heels of a gang of mobsters engaged in human smuggling and white slavery, the ranger was wounded and left to die by the gangsters. He was found, however, by an old hermit who took him in and tended his wounds. During his convalescence, the Ranger accidentally learned the identity of his rescuer. The old man was none othere than Billy the Kid, who did not die at Fort Sumter but had instead been in seclusion for fifty years. With his secret out and ackowledging he was too old to go on much longer anyway, the old man let the Ranger in on another secret. His prowess with guns was due to a set of enchanted pistols he was given by an old Apache medicine man. With the guns, Billy the Kid was the most dangerous gunfighter in the Old West, a man possessed of supernatural marksmanship.
Billy the Kid had used the gift of the enchanted pistols for selfish purposes, then had tried to make amends by hiding out where he wouldn't be tempted to hurt anyone. Now he saw there was a better way to atone for his wicked life. He gave the pistols to the Ranger, knowing the police officer would use them in the cause of justice rather than the pursuit of greed.
Taking the pistols, the Ranger became Two-Gun Texican, a masked avenger of the southwest, a righter of wrongs and a scourge of the underworld. Employing the magic pistols, he is able to accomplish unbelievable feats of marksmanship, even capable of shooting around corners and picking out targets in pitch blackness.
When war came to America, Two-Gun Texican departed his beloved southwest to fight against the Axis and defend his country from a danger even greater than the blight of organized crime.
