Hal is a Canadian writer with a sharp eye for a good story. He's currently scripting the 20 page Walter MacSorly tale: The Phantom of Halifax This story takes place in 1939 just before Walter was drafted into the Canadian Army and transfered to the Red Autumn Department. Walter is a constable in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) investigating a string of murders targeting German Canadians in Halifax. Look for pages coming soon at www.redleafcomics.com

I will be forever grateful for John giving me this opportunity. Ever since Barbara Kesel told me I had 'talent' 10+ years ago I have been plugging away, writing scripts that for one reason or another have never seen the light of day. I have had a great time thus far bouncing ideas off of John with regards to Walter MacSorly. I hope the artist for this project enjoys envisioning the script, and I hope my peers and readers will enjoy the tale.
John and his senior staff have created a fantastic sandbox for creators to play in, and I hope to create great comics with many of you in the future.
Peace from Canada and prayers to Japan,
Hal
